BODHD is Making a Difference in the Lives of Children

Five children die each day as a result of child abuse. BodHD is proud to be part of supporting Childhelp to help save these innocent lives by donating one half percent of its sales to this worthy organization. Childhelp is one of the largest and oldest national nonprofit groups dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. For 50 years Childhelp has been on the frontlines protecting and rehabilitating abused and neglected children, but more needs to be done.

There are many reasons why Childhelp is the cause of choice for BodHD. BodHD Co-Founders Ray Grimm and Daran Grimm have seen first-hand the effectiveness of Childhelp’s programs since becoming involved in Childhelp more than 25 years ago. They have participated in Childhelp’s Special Friend program working personally with 12 Childhelp children throughout the years. They have also been responsible for the fundraising efforts that helped build a gymnasium for the Merv Griffin Village in Beaumont, CA. In addition, Ray has served on Childhelp’s State Board, both as a member and as President. "Ray and I would swim any ocean, move any mountain to help stamp out child abuse," Daran said passionately. "We have seen so many precious lives changed by this amazing organization, but there are so many children who still need our help. We are so glad that we can support Childhelp both personally and corporately through BodHD."

The Grimms were honored in recent years with its prestigious Day of Hope Corporate Award by Childhelp Co-Founders Sara O’Meara & Yvonne Fedderson, who have been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize three times and just recently the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Grimm’s Award was presented during Childhelp’s annual Day of Hope luncheon in Washington, D.C. A host of senators attended the event, including Senators Chris Dodd, Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Mary Landrieu (D-La.), Lisa Murkowksi (R-Alaska) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.).

BodHD is also proud to be a part of a Childhelp Corporate Video that promotes the Childhelp vision to other like-minded Companies. This fantastic 12-minute video, narrated by the lovely Jane Seymour, a long-time Childhelp Celebrity Ambassador, as well as the owner of her own business, is specifically geared to compassionate business leaders who recognize the importance of helping children. It includes the whole Childhelp picture and emphasizes how necessary corporate support is to the Childhelp cause. BodHD’s Co-Founders’ Corporate commitment is profiled, along with other notable companies that support Childhelp like St. John’s Luxury Clothing, Nordstroms, Philosophy, Edwards Theaters and more.
